Assorted Sandcast Glass Beads 9-10mm (SC773)

These beads were made by pulverizing old (recycled) glass, which is then poured into molds and then placed in a crude earthen oven where the powered is molten into glass. They are often referred to as "powder glass" beads as well as "sand cast". The strand measures approx 26-28" and there are approx 76 beads in total, each measuring approx 9-10mm in diameter (2-3mm hole). They are strung on raffia and were handcrafted in Ghana, Africa.
