These beads were handcrafted of bone in Kenya, Africa and dyed using the batik method. The strand measures approx 20" and there are approx 50 beads on the strand, each bead measures approx 10mm x 12mm, though some might be larger and some smaller, they are irregular. They are strung on raffia. As with any handmade bead, expect some variation in color and size.

I got these beads on sale, so I got an awesome deal. I've been "window shopping" on the internet for trade beads and these are very similar to the more expensive lots I've come across. The photo is very true to the actual product and the description is accurate. These are very unique and versatile beads and you get plenty to use in your design. I found some hand-carved black wooden beads in a vintage lot that's going to look terrific as a focal point. I really love this site!
