Blue, Green & Orange Sandcast Glass Beads 10-11mm (SC771)

These beads were made by pulverizing old (recycled) glass, which is then poured into molds and then placed in a crude earthen oven where the powered is molten into glass. They are often referred to as "powder glass" beads as well as "sand cast". Blue with green, orange and white designs. The strand measures approx 21" and there are approx 56 beads in total, each measuring approx 10-11mm in diameter (2-3mm hole). They are strung on raffia and were handcrafted in Ghana, Africa.
