Botswana agates are known for their bold fortifications of gray, white, and nearly black, but can also be found in pastel tones of pink and salmon. There is an embargo on the export of rough agates from
Botswana, so collector specimens are difficult to obtain.

Myths and Therapeutic Properties:
Agates were used in ancient times as talismans to protect the wearer from storms, to quench thirst and to bring good luck-all important things for surviving in the subtropics.
