Brass Round Medallion Beads 24mm - Ghana (ME22)

These ornate brass medallion shaped beads came from Ghana. Each bead was handmade from wax and then cast with molten brass, because of this no two are perfectly identical, each is unique. Each bead measures approx 24mm in diameter, though some may be slightly smaller and some slightly larger. There are approx 26 beads on the raffia strand. Please be aware that the casting process used to produce these beads dates back to the 7th century in Africa, therefore expect these beads to have somewhat of a crude character, an occasional small dent or a missing section on a bead should be expected.
