Carved Stone Maya Amulet (PC444)

Beautiful amulet carved from a hard (slate-like) stone with interesting Maya figures. Very good condition. Nice patina. Shows age and use. This is a very old piece and probably precolumbian, but we cannot date the piece. It came from ruins in the Utatlan area, near Chichicastenango, in Quiche, Guatemala. It measures 2 1/2" x 2" x 7/8". There is a hole at the top of the piece for stringing.  Heavy! This item is one of a kind, you will recieve the exact amulet which is pictured.
