These irregular 'chunky' gray granite stone beads were drilled by hand, biconically. They came from Ghana, Africa. They appear aged, but they were newly produced. The strand measures approx 24" and there are approx 80 beads in total, measuring approx 12-15mm in diameter, though some might be slightly larger and some smaller. They are strung on raffia.

I just love these combined with a "dressier" stone, like turquoise, coral or citrine, they are amazing. I love them.

These beads are wonderful. They remind me of the little bits that fall from the Rockeater's mouth on the Neverending Story.
