These beads were handcrafted of bone in Kenya, Africa. The star design work was added using the batik method. The strand measures 26" and there are approx 29 beads in total, each measures approx 22mm in diameter x 5mm thick, the hole measures approx 3mm. They are strung on raffia. As with any handmade bead, expect some slight variation in color and size.

Classic Beads!

These are a classic. I've bought many strands of these over the years. The contrast of the black and white gives them great graphic impact, and the quirky irregularities give them character. They look great paired with colorful bone spacers for a funky ethnic look, and the holes are large enough to be strung on 2mm leather. They're large, about the size of a quarter. Because they're hand carved, you'll get a few flawed ones, but it's a very fair price.
