Light Blue, Red, Orange & White Sandcast Glass Beads 12-15mm (SC767)

These beads were made by pulverizing old (recycled) glass, which is then poured into molds and then placed in a crude earthen oven where the powered is molten into glass. They are often referred to as "powder glass" beads as well as "sand cast". Blue, red, orange and white. The strand measures approx 24" and there are approx 44 beads in total, each measuring approx 12-15mm long x 5-7mm in diameter (2-3mm hole). They are strung on raffia and were handcrafted in Ghana, Africa.
