These old bauxite (pipestone) beads came from west Africa. The strand measures approx 27" and there are approx 90 beads in total. Each bead measures approx 14-16mm in diameter (2-3mm hole). They are strung on raffia.

Rustic!

I must admit that I was hesitant to order these beads originally, but once I received them I was more than pleased. Yes, they are rustic, but so cool!
