Old Hebron Beads (RF260)

These old glass beads can be hard to find and are very collectible. They include various shades of turquoise blue, and were made in Hebron prior to 1880 and could be as old as 500 years, as this type of bead first came into production just after the 12th century. They are wound glass and were made using Dead Sea salts as their alkali. The strand measures 20-22" and there are 49 beads in total, ranging in size from 12mm to 23mm in diameter. Expect many imperfections and even a possible chipped or broken bead. They are strung on raffia. These beads are one of a kind, you will receive the exact strand which is pictured.
