Old Maya Red & White Glass Beads - 8 foot long strand (GUA344)

This "necklace" consists of 6 strands of old glass beads. The beads are most likely of Czech origin and were traded into Central and South America many years ago (actual age unknown, but more than 50 years); they were purchased in Chichicastenango, Guatemala. The beads show age and use and have a nice patina. Overall they are in very good condition. Though these beads are strung as a necklace (in its original form), it can easily be disassembled for use in other projects. There are approx 97" of beads, approx 360 beads in total, measuring 3-8mm in diameter x 3-9mm in length. These beads are one of a kind, the beads you see pictured is the strand you will receive.
