Old Maya Red Glass Beads - 22 foot long strand (GUA341)

These beads originally formed a 13 strand "necklace", though it has since been disassembled. The beads are most likely of Czech origin and were traded into Central and South America many years ago (actual age unknown, but more than 50 years); they were purchased in Chichicastenango, Guatemala. The beads show age and use and have a nice patina. Overall they are in very good condition. There are approx 264" (22 feet) of beads, approx 650 beads in total, measuring 4-12mm in diameter x 4-14mm in length. These beads are one of a kind, the beads you see pictured is the strand you will receive.
