These variegated, assorted irregular shaped turquoise beads are made from Chinese turquoise. The strand measures approx 8" and there are 15-18 beads in total. The puffy oval shaped beads measure 20-22mm in length x 15-17 wide x 9-12mm thick; the rondelle shaped beads measure approx 12-13mm in diameter x 7-8mm thick; the round shaped beads (less prevalent) measure approx 8mm in diameter, though some beads might be slightly larger or smaller. These beads were hand cut; therefore, expect slight imperfections in shape, size and color.

These beads have a beautiful range of colours and wonderful, bold patterns of matrix. I bought one strand, then another, and then four more(!), as they are some of my favourite turquoise strands. There's some variation in bead shape and size but that just adds to their appeal for use in organic designs. In a word: lovely!

i asked for 3 strands that were matched as best they could: green, with little matrix as i am making a set for my daughter. the 3 strands match so well it looks as though they were almost cut from the same stone! i am so happy with every order i've received, and have no need to go anywhere else for my beads! thanks! :-)
